Lokohelp Group at the World Congress of Physiotherapy |
|
06/2011
Prefer the cheapest robotic! For the first time Lokohelp Group has attended the World Congress of Physiotherapy in Amsterdam. Proudly we may say that our LokoHelp system is gaining in importance more and more and due to its superior price-performance-ratio is convincing more and more. Long since experts do generally agree that the number of step cycles (repetitions) is substantial for recovering walking ability. Reputable capacities in the filed of neuro rehabilitation pointed this out once more and made a clear statement: It’s the dose that is important, not the type, so the cheapest type of robotics existing on the market can always be taken. Many visitors from all over the world used the opportunity to test the LokoHelp. Once again physicians and therapists could convince themselves of the efficacy of the LokoHelp. The impression and the opinion were positive throughout. We are happy to be able to offer such a good and – compared to all other gait trainer systems in the market – cost-effective and multifunctional therapy system for patients which relieves at the same time the therapists. Visit of 40 Chinese medicins in Germany to see LokoHelp |
|
12/2010
End of November we had the pleasure to welcome 40 delegated physicians from all over China in the Rehabilitation Hospital Christophsbad in Göppingen, Germany (http://www.christophsbad.de), which is equipped with all modern facilities. Reason for their visit was to learn about our therapy system WOODWAY-LokoStation with treadmill and the LokoHelp gait trainer in the day-to-day operation. After the PowerPoint presentation about the fundamentals of the locomotion therapy by Susanna Freivogel we moved to the spacious therapy room where all visitors could experience three patient therapies which were demonstrated by the therapists of the Christophsbad very professionally. A test-walk of one patient after the LokoHelp-training convinced the visitors of the efficacy of this therapy. The LokoHelp improves gait ability in many patients with spinal cord injury, stroke, traumatic brain injury, cerebral palsy and with diseases of the spinal cord or peripheral nerves affections. The LokoHelp-training can also be conducted for improving the range of motion of joints, for strengthening the muscles as well as for cardiovascular training in orthopedic and geriatric patients in addition to severely affected neurologic patients. |
LokoHelp at the Medica 2010 trade fair in Germany |
|
11/2010
Once more the Medica trade fair showed us that our customers are on the right way with us:
"The Way To Walk".
We had the opportunity to introduce and demonstrate our LokoHelp gait trainer to a large number of visitors from all continents. With high interest the opportunity was taken to test the unit. After the test persons were prepared for the training in a minimum of time, all persons could notice that the therapy with the LokoHelp is not a passive moving of the patients' legs, but the LokoHelp allows active strain of the patient. Experts agree that activity of the patients improve the results of the patient therapy. Positively surprised were the visitors of the price, which is - compared to other treadmill systems with gait trainer - siginificantly less. Our therapy system is not only a treadmill with gait trainer for the locomotion therapy, but it is a multifunctional therapy system, and in comparison to other therapy systems for the same purpose even requires less space. By few movements the LokoHelp can be removed from the treadmill and after being able to do steps on their own, patients can use the treadmill for advanced gait training and even "normal" treadmill applications as the treadmills run up to 25 km/h. |

Ronja, our little patient on the sail, is overjoyed.
Not only because she is carried by the wind like a feather, but also and especially because she is motivated to walk with the LokoHelp with easiness. Ronja is incentive for thousands of children - but also for adults, who must relearn walking. We wish Ronja furthermore much power and the easiness - like she is expressing it on the sail. World Congress for NeuroRehabilitation 2010 Vienna |
|
04/2010
Die Lokohelp Group is proud to say that the participation at the WCNR 2010 (World Congress for Neurorehabilitation) in Vienna was a full success. A lot of the international specialists in the field of rehabilitation took the opportunity to test the LokoHelp gait trainer by themselves - with positive judgement from everybody. Especially the muscle acitivty in the upper limbs was considered as remarkable compared to other gait trainers. The price performance ratio is another advantage of the LokoHelp gait trainer.

We are very pleased, that we have been given the opportunity to supply our therapy-system WOODWAY-LokoStation with treadmill and LokoHelp gait trainer “Pedago” to the university-hospital Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany. We are very impressed from the fundraising campaign “Leser-helfen (newspaper-readers help)” for the Gengenbacher Förderverein “Neurokinder Freiburg” initiated by the German newspaper “Mittelbadische Presse”. The helpfulness of the numerous donators was overwhelming and enabled the Neuropediatric-Department of the Centre for children- and adolescence-medicine at the university hospital to work with our effective therapy system and to treat young and old patients. With the total fund of EUR 131.000 not only the LokoHelp therapy-system could be purchased but even a new place of employment could be financed. The salary of one new physiotherapist is ensured for one year already. “The spark striked” and also the Oberkircher Förderverein “krebskranke Kinder Freiburg (children who have cancer)“ is interested in the LokoHelp-training. Thus the Katarina-Witt-foundation has joined the campaign and has partially financed a second physiotherapist. LokoHelp – The Way To Walk! |
