We have experienced again a huge interest in our LokoHelp gait trainer during the Medica trade fair 2009 in Duesseldorf, Germany. We would like to thank the large number of visitors of our booth as well as we thank for the suggestions for further improvement of our system. The simplicity but nevertheless the high efficiency of the patented LokoHelp as world innovation are unanimously called unique. What makes the LokoHelp so convincing is the fact that it is an endeffector-system. Better studies argue for endeffector-systems being more beneficial for the therapy outcome than an exoskeleton. Together with a treadmill with body weight support the LokoHelp gait trainer makes a sophisticated multifunctional therapy system at a excellent price-performance-ratio. The LokoHelp is easy to use and it allows a quick preparation of the patient for the therapy.  The LokoHelp demands the patient’s self-control of knee- and hip-joints, if possible, which is in addition to the locomotion program also necessary for regaining independent walking ability. Hip- and knee-joints as well as the ventral and dorsal thigh musculature of the patient are all side accessible during the training at any time.
