WOODWAY, with its superior slat-belt-technology, has set the standard in locomotion therapy all over the world. By a suspension system the patient's body weight can be unloaded according to his disease pattern. This enables to treat a patient who is not able to stand or walk alone.

Dynamic / Static Body Weight Support: The body weight support system allows either static or dynamic body weight support. The pre-assigned unloading weight of the dynamic system provides a homogeneous support during the entire gait cycle. The static system supports and secures the patient with a fixed weight. This feature enables the therapist to tailor the therapy session to the specific needs of the patient.
Symmetric / Asymmetric Support: With the two-sided suspension and asymmetric adjustable rope, it is possible to independently unload each side of the patient, either statically or dynamically. Two cranks display the weight support of each side. This feature enables the therapist to control exactly how the patient is unloaded.
Central Winch: The suspension of the patient can easily be adjusted by operating the central winch with the holdback.
One Arm Construction: The one arm construction requires a minimal space and allows access to the patient from all sides as well as free visibility for video recording.
Variable Deviating Points: Depending on the width of the patient’s shoulders the suspension ropes can be adjusted by two deviating points.
Wheel Chair Ramp incl. Handrail: With a wheel chair ramp the patient can easily be brought to the treadmill. A handrail offers additional safety and support.
Patient Harnesses: In addition to the standard harness there is a large assortment of harnesses that have been designed for clinics and physiotherapists for different applications. Please ask us for our catalogue. We will be happy to mail it to you.
Elveta electric lifting system: For easy lifting up the patient out of his wheelchair the LokoStation is optional available with electric lifting functions. The lifting functions are operated by a remote control with cable. |

Slip-free Drive (no jerk): Unlike conventional flat-belt treadmills, the Woodway treadmill has a patented slat-belt-technology design and a toothbelt-guided running surface that glides over precision ball bearings. This design creates a slip-free acceleration with no jerk at a guaranteed consistent and accurate running speed.
Absorption of the Impact Energy: In cooperation with the German College of Sports in Cologne, Woodway developed the soft rubber t-slat running surface with 35 – 40 shore hardness absorbing 90% of impact on joints, muscles, and tissues.
Operating / Display: The operating- and display unit is logical and easy to use. The treadmill is able to run automated functions as stored programs, pulse-control or pulse-automation built-in-programs.  pulse measurement system is standard on every treadmill.
Connection to Peripheral Devices: Through the serial interface RS-232 the therapy system communicates with the established ECG-systems.
Safety: Magnetic emergency stop and additional emergency stop button provide added safety to the patient while the treadmill is in use.
Adjustable Parallel Handrails: Both handrails allow for individual adjustment for each patient. With gas pressure springs the height of both handrails can easily be adjusted in height and width.
